Rebecka BOYD born about 1791 in Beith, Ayrshire, married John MARK(S). Parish records show first five children baptised in Beith. Rebecka and John immigrated to Liverpool, Eng. where four more children were born. Need any information on Rebecka BOYD or John MARK(S)..

Hi You posted a message at dangly.com, this enquiry is not related to mauchline but rather your surname Carncross, I was hoping you might be a descendant of Joseph Carncross who came to NZ from Bendigo Australia in 1861 he was married to a Edith cutten in 1853 and they bought Walter Fredrick Carncross with them as a child. Joseph disappeared from Bedigo, he had left a wife nee Anne Barns) and 3 daughters in England and was a ships steward on the Australian Ship which was abandoned by its crew in May 1852 when the gold rush was on, I have copies of a few letters he sent his daughters but was not heard of again, I traced him through his marriage to Edith Cutten and birth of Walter, which state his parents names, I have him buried in Waimata Cemetery, it appears he settled in Otago with his new family. I am a descent of one of the daughters from England, Jane who married William Charles Edwards in 1872 in England and their daughter Annie Edwards immigrated to NZ in 1911. I was hoping you might be able to fill me in on the NZ Carncross line. Hope to hear from your soon Alison Miller nee Bristow
