Hi, I am trying to locate any information I can on my husbands ancestors. I have a John Allan who married in South Australia in 1879. According to family stories, the Allans came to the Victoria goldfields, them moved to South Australia. They were from Kilmarnock. According to John's marriage record his father's name was George. I presume John was born in the mid 1840,s in Kilmarnock. I am not sure if just John came to Australia or his father and other family members came as well. If anyone has any information or links to this family, I would appreciate hearing from them. Thanks Dorothy Allan
