Kilmarnock Queries[ Home | Search | Post | Reply | Next | Previous | Up ] TannockFrom: Lori Bragg CommentsJohn and Mary (Houston Neilson) Tannock had two daughters in addition to a son, David Tannock: Mary and Elizabeth. Looking for their married names. Have some evidence that Mary married Robert Jenkins. Mary would have been born about 1843 and Elizabeth was born September 6, 1863 according to the IGI. Re: ANDREW's of AyrFrom: Alexander Roy Martin CommentsMy maternal grandfather is the subject of my search. According to family information handed down he was born in Tarbolton; although perhaps in Kilmarnock as my parents visited family there in about 1950. He was apparently a medical doctor with the Highland Brigade in South Africa during the 1899-1902 war in South Africa, where he settled after that war. I seem to be going round and round in circles trying to find information on him. Help will be greatly appreciated. I do know that a female cousin of my mother was said to be a veterinarian in London around about the 1950s, and that there was a family connection with the Andrew of the old Andrews Liver Salt factory.
